George W. Chitwood
Seeking: My name is George Chitwood and I am the Assistant Director for Computer Security Compliance at the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA). My purpose in writing is to initiate an application for a suitable position within the European Union. I am turning my professional interest and focus to the Eastern European and, if possible, Greek market. I believe I can provide a cutting-edge enterprise information security perspective and I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this. I am a certified security professional whose specific skills and experience are outlined in my CV. Over the last five years I have managed multiple teams of Government and Contractor personnel in the performance of Certification and Accreditation (C&A), Policy, Remediation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Transportation Sector Cyber Security, Security Architecture, Contractual Governance, Audit and Training. Prior to the TSA, I was a Management and Program Analyst at the Federal Aviation Administration where I developed the FAA’s international computer security program and was the primary liaison with the US State Department on overseas Administrative support. During my 31 year career in the Government and Private sector I have supported numerous military and commercial space and defense programs. The assignments were diverse, including mechanical and thermal engineering, internal project cost control, project team leadership, and new business proposals. I currently hold CISSP and SCADA Security Architect (SSCA) certifications. One of my latest endeavors was a paper on the Examination of the Benefits of (Wireless) Mesh and RFID in Containers, which I delivered at the International Association of Marine Economists Annual Conference in Athens Greece last summer. I am married with one son.
